Der ehemalige Roc-A-Fella Rapper Memphis Bleek wird für sein neues Album The Process  erneut mit seinem Ziehvater  Jay-Z zusammenarbeiten. Dieser wird als Executive Producer mitwirken. Die LP wird am 24. November als Zusammenarbeit von Mass Appeal Entertainment und Bleek s eigener Firma Get Low Records auf den Markt kommen und damit Bleeks erstes Album sein, dass nicht über Roc-A-Fella erscheint.   " New York-based recording artist and Jay-Z' s protege Memphis Bleek is scheduled to release his fifth studio album titled The Process on November 24, 2009. The album, executive produced by Ja y-Z , will feature production from Just Blaze and No I.D with special appearances by Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Pharell and more. The album will be released on Boston-based label Mass Appeal Entertainment in a joint venture with Bleek's own imprint, Get Low Records ." Auch der Rapper selbst äußerte sich in einem Statement zur neuen Situation: "Once Jay moved and did the Roc Nation thing, I hollered at him and told him I wanted to create my own umbrella to be a branch of Roc Nation. .. I don't want to be under Jay-Z' s shadow forever. I feel like I'm gonna get criticized for that forever. So, yeah. It's one reason I want to do the Get Low thing. People will respect me more if I can show them I know how to walk on my own two. But I still got the big homie. He's setting up meetings wih every distribution company for me. I'm just trying to see what's the best fit." Bleek , auch unter dem Namen  Memphis Grillz bekannt, weiß die Erfahrungen der Zusammenarbeit mit Jigga  zu schätzen und hofft, Vorteile für sein eigenes Label daraus ziehen zu können.  " The Process has been exactly that; a process.
