Laut mlb.com werden Rapper Fat Joe, Reporter Sway Calloway, Komiker Chris Distefano und Model Melanie Iglesias eine neue Baseball-Show auf dem Fernsehsender MTV2 moderieren.

Die Show soll Off The Bat from the MLB Fan Cave heißen und Interviews mit Baseball-Profis sowie Diskussionen über den Sport, die Musik und gleichzeitig deren Verknüpfung miteinander, beinhalten.

Die Sendezeit dieser MTV2-Show soll dreißig Minuten betragen und einmal pro Woche ausgestrahlt werden.

Sway sagte dazu: "I got involved with Off The Bat because I love sports. I grew up playing baseball, football and track. The Oakland A’s are a staple in our community – they are our heroes. Reggie Jackson and Rickey Henderson inspired me, so it’s going to be a lot of fun to show a different side of today's players to fans."

Fat Joe begründete seine Teilnahme an der Show mit diesen Worten: "I'm excited to team up with MTV2 and MLB to bring baseball, music and pop culture together in a way that's never been done before."

Im April soll Off The Bat from the MLB Fan Cave auf MTV2 Premiere feiern.
