Wie hiphopdx.com berichtet, soll 50 Cent nun erklärt haben, wieso er nicht bei der Abschlussfeier seines Sohnes war.
Bei einem Promo-Termin für sein neues Album Animal Ambition wurde 50 darauf angesprochen, warum er nicht bei dem Schulabschluss seines Sohnes gewesen sei. Seine Antwort darauf war, dass er finde, dass sein Leben Privatsache sei:
"I think that my personal life, portions of it, are actually supposed to be personal"
Weiter heißt es, dass er keine Erklärung abgeben müsse. Jedoch geht er darauf ein: Er habe keine Einladung bekommen und sei in Budapest bei einem Filmset mit Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law und Jason Statham gewesen. Der Grund, warum das nun so groß in den Medien diskutiert werde, sei die Mutter des Kindes, die zu TMZ gegangen sei:
“I don’t need an explanation,”
“I don’t really. I think that my personal life, portions of it are actually supposed to be personal. The actual life as an entertainer is a whole other portion of your life. My son—I haven’t received an invitation. When he graduated I was in Budapest on a movie with Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, and Jason Statham. I think at some points the reason why it actually comes out is because his mom is going to TMZ. I wish she’d find someone so she could leave me alone.”
Zu der Frage, wie schwer es sei, Beruf und Familie unter einen Hut zu bekommen, sagte 50, dass es hart sei, da er viel reisen und umziehen würde:
“It’s tough because you travel a lot and you move around,”
Ein Kind brauche aber dennoch ein schönes Zuhause, eine Privatschule und alles andere, was eine gute Bildung benötige:
“You still have to be able to provide those things that are really detrimental to a child being able to have a decent upbringing. A nice place to stay, private schools, and everything else they would actually require to have a good education. It’s tough because my relationship with my older son is dictated by his actual mom.”
