Dawid Aleksander - 27 (produced and written by Dawid Aleksander)

The themes of the album, next to the wish of seeing new places and traveling again (‘Never Been’), are how I deal with the effects of my current surroundings (‘All or Nothing’, ‘Zenkai’) and the inevitable glimpse into days gone by, as the future seems so uncertain (‘Melodies & Memories’).
I also included changes of perspectives in some of the tracks, like ’27’, which describes how I feel turning 27 (present), how I thought I would feel with 27 (past), and how I remember feeling with 27 (future). ‘Here’s to Us’ and ‘Let It Go’ continue the narrative of the past and future respectively with a detailed illustration of how I envisioned my birthday party as well as my life at this point and an appeal from my future and apparently wiser self. ’72’ can be counted to the theme of different perspectives as well since it is a short story about how I now think I’ll end up in the titled age if no changes occur.
