Bereits seit Jahren ist die Vergabe der MTV Video Music Awards von Hiphop geprägt. Am 26. August startet die Preisverleihung in die nächste Runde und MTV kündigte jetzt in einem Video an, dass Missy Elliott als erste Rapperin den Video Vanguard Award entgegennehmen wird.
