Um Evidence war es recht still in letzter Zeit. Einzig das neue Video zu Throw it all Away kam vor einigen Monaten, dann eine persönliche Hiobsbotschaft des Dilated Peoples-Mitglieds. Jetzt gibt es aber nicht nur noch ein neues Video, sondern Evidence kündigt auch endlich ein neues Soloalbum an – mit allem Drum und Dran.
Der neu ausgekoppelte Song heißt Jim Dean, das Video dazu stammt wieder einmal von Jason Goldwatch, der bereits unzählige Evidence- und Dilated Peoples-Videos gedreht hat. Der Beat kommt von Nottz, die Scratches von DJ Babu.

Das Video führt uns an Orte, die für Evidence ganz besondere Bedeutung besitzen, wie er in der Videobeschriebung erklärt. Zum Beispiel die Straße, in der Evidence aufgewachsen ist, sowie das Studio vom langjährigen Freund und Step Brothers-Partner The Alchemist.
Das dritte Soloalbum von Evidence heißt Weather Or Not und erscheint am 26. Januar 2018. Es soll den thematischen Abschluss der Albentrilogie darstellen, die bisher allesamt mit Wetter-Referenzen im Titel daherkamen: The Weatherman, Cats & Dogs und nun eben auch noch Weather Or Not – im Endeffekt ein Zitat aus dem Dilated Peoples-Song Guaranteed:
"Some think I'm clever/others think I'm the one who makes too many references to weather/... or not."
