Snoop Dogg und The Game hatten schon vor kurzer Zeit bei einer Demonstration zum Frieden zwischen Polizei und der schwarzen Bevölkerung in den USA aufgerufen.

Grundlage dessen sei laut The Game allerdings auch, dass die afroamerikanische Gemeinschaft näher zusammen rückt. Besonders die herrschende Gewalt zwischen den unterschiedlichen Gangs stelle dabei allerdings ein Hindernis dar.

Bevor man von anderen erwarte, dass das Leben von schwarzen Mitbürgern genauso zähle wie das eines Weißen, müsse man erstmal in den eigenen Reihen sicher stellen, dass jedes Leben zählt.

Am Sonntag luden Snoop und Game sämtliche Gangmitglieder von Crips bis Bloods in Kalifornien dazu ein, an einem gemeinsamen Treffen teilzunehmen. Organisiert wurde das Event von der Nation Of Islam.

Bei der Veranstaltung führte man den Anwesenden vor Augen, wie viele ihrer Angehörigen bei Gang-Kämpfen schon ihr Leben lassen mussten und dass die Community in diesen Zeiten noch mehr zusammen halten müsste als sonst.

Zahlreiche Männer und Frauen unterzeichneten nach dieser Rede einen Friedensvertrag zwischen Crips und Bloods.

Los Angeles, on behalf of myself @SnoopDogg, & the honorable @louisfarrakhan I want to extend the invitation to all CRIPS, BLOODS, ESE's & all other gang members, major figures & GANG LEADERS from every hood in our city as well as the surrounding cities to our meeting 11am this morning, July 17th at 8039 S. Don't think we can't change it & better ourselves, lead by example & make our city a safer place for our children.... Because together, WE CAN !!!! I'm asking everyone who will attend: DO NOT bring any weapons or anything illegal. Do not come high or belligerent.. We don't need any HOT HEADS or anyone there for the wrong reasons or you will respectfully dealt with & REMOVED from the building... We will stand as we are, UNIFIED. I'm calling ALL GANGS, of ALL RACES, ALL GROWN MEN affiliated or not & WE WILL STAND UNIFIED SUNDAY !!!! Our numbers are all the weapons we need !!!
