Nicki Minaj möchte ein Mogul werden und zwar am liebsten wie Jay Z.

In einem Interview mit I-D Vice sagt Nicki, sie habe vor ein Business aufzubauen, in dem sie hungrige und lernwillige Menschen einstellen kann. Aber Miss Minaj denkt nicht nur an die bedürftigen, auch ein Vorbild für ihre "Barbs" (Barbies = Frauen) möchte sie sein. Sie sollen klug, nicht verrückt oder abhängig von "Jungs" sein. Das ist aber noch längst nicht alles, die Rapperin will Menschen rund um die Welt inspirieren. Eines Tages soll man sie als großartige Rapperin, Schauspielerin, Mogul, Mutter und Ehefrau in Erinnerung haben.

"I want to be a mogul; I want to have multiple businesses where I can employ hungry people, people who are eager to learn. I want to have foundations where I can put people through college; I want my Barbs to be smart, not to be crazy and foolish and not to depend on boys. I want to do something to inspire people all around the world. I'd like to be remembered as one of the great rappers and a mogul, an actress, a mother and a wife." (I-D Vice)

Als Vorbild dafür nimmt sie sich Jay Z. Eines Tages sollen andere Rapperinnen sich die 32-Jährige als Vorbild nehmen, wie sie sich Hova als Vorbild nimmt. Dafür soll ihr Album schon mal den ersten Schritt machen. In einem anderen Interview sagte sie bereits, dass sie wieder zurück zu ihren Wurzel möchte.

"I think everybody knows how obsessed I am with Jay Z. He's always been my favorite rapper -- him and Wayne [...] I wanted to be like Jay Z. I felt like with what I'm doing, I want female rappers to be able to pattern themselves with what I've done one day. And I think the album is soooo classic, it's gonna feel so good and it will probably be one that female rappers will look to as a Pink Print for years to come."(Power 106)

Es scheint, als wisse Nicki ganz genau was sie möchte. Es bleibt abzuwarten ob sich das auch in ihrem Album wiederspiegeln wird. Wann genau ihr "sooo klassisches" Album veröffentlicht werden soll, ist noch nicht bekannt.
