“I wanted to work with Macklemore, but I didn’t get around to it... Macklemore is dope. He’s inspired a lot of my music just because he’s just free to say to whatever he wants. He’s just himself. I notice a lot of white rappers sometimes, they’ll feel like they have to be like, almost aggressive. But he’s just like, ‘this is who I am, this is what I am, I don’t care if I’m not hard.’ He’s not trying to be hard... He’s just a normal guy. He embraces the fact that he’s a fucking white guy. He’s not trying to be anything but him. So I just have to respect that.”
Auch für Macklemores Produzenten Ryan Lewis fand Hopsin nur nette Worte: "The production behind it that Ryan Lewis does is really amazing to me. I Just like the sound. I hear it, and the songs are like movies, like audio movies."
