Das Magazin noisey.vice.com zitiert einen Insider, der ausgesagt haben sollen, dass Gucci Mane in 2013 $1,3 Millionen gemacht habe – und das angeblich nur mit seiner Musik. Ein Businesspartner von Gucci Mane, Ronald "Caveman" Rosario, soll dem Mag gesagt haben, dass er zwölf Projekte mit dem Rapper im vergangenen Jahr angegangen habe; neun davon sollen Gucci Mane-Mixtapes und drei davon Label-Sachen gewesen sein. Das mache den genannten Gewinn aus:

"With Gucci, last year we did a total of 12 projects, including nine Gucci Mane projects and three 1017 projects. [Gucci netted] about $1.3 million from that."

Außerdem sollen sich auch Merch-Artikel super verkaufen:

"We have the official ‘Free Guwop” tee shirt. That shit sells all day everyday,"

Dazu profitiere Gucci auch von Young Thug, der nach wie vor bei 1017 gesignt sei, egal, was dieser behaupte:

"The fucking reality of it is Thug is signed to 1017, regardless of where he wants to go. So regardless of what people want to say, what they want to Tweet or Instagram, Gucci is still gonna get paid. Thug is running around saying Rich Gang, but a lot of people don’t understand that Rich Gang is a management company. It is a management deal. It isn’t a record deal. So Birdman and his team are now representing him, but regardless of his representation he’s still signed to Gucci."
