Wie wir berichteten ( The Game vs. Jay-Z: Der nächste Beef im Rap Game ), lag in den letzten Jahren ein angehender Beef zwischen The Game und Jay-Z in der Luft, der sich zwar durch kleine Sticheleien immer mehr zuspitzte, aber bisher nicht eskalierte. Jetzt meldete sich Jay-Z erneut zu Wort, in dem er The Game und andere Rapperkollegen während einer Show in Las Vegas disste:
"I ain't talkin' about gossip, I ain't talkin' 'bout Game/I ain't talkin' about Jimmy, I ain't talkin' about Dame/I'm talkin' about real shit, this here is pain/Whatcha talkin' about, I don't know what y'all saying/Dudes keep talkin' about/'Hov take it back'/I'm doing better than before, why would I do that...People trying to re-write history let's talk about that/Dame made millions, even Jaz made some scraps/He could have made more but he ain't sign his contract."
Natürlich wäre The Game nicht The Game , wenn er nicht sofort mit einer Ansage in Richtung Jay-Z kontern würde. Zuerst fragte er seine Fans über Twitter , ob sie der Meinung seien, dass Jay-Z ihn mit dem besagten Freestyle gedisst hätte. Obwohl die Mehrheit der Fans Jay-Z s Rhymes nicht als Diss empfanden, dauerte es nicht lange, bis The Game einen weiteren verbalen Faustschlag in Richtung Jay-Z verteilte ( das Beweisvideo findest du bei uns im Forum ):
