Anfang Januar wurde die Sneaker-Kollabo von Adidas und Dragon Ball Z bekannt. Wenig später tauchten zunächst von Boo inspirierte Sneaker auf, bevor die Vegeta- und Son Goku-Schuhe geleakt wurden. Nun hat der britische Designer und Sneakerhead Walsh Design ein wenig seine Gedanken kreisen lassen und überlegt, wie denn eine Kolloabo von Dragon Ball Z und Adidas' großem Konkurrenten Nike aussehen könnte. Herausgekommen sind ganze 12 Designs, die legendäre und aktuell gehypte Nike Silhouetten in verschiedene Dragon Ball-Optiken bringen.

Walsh Design ist offenbar nicht zufrieden mit den Designs, die der Sportartikelhersteller mit den drei Streifen aus Herzogenaurach präsentiert hat. Er hat sich also hingesetzt und gezeigt, wie die Kollabo mit Nike aus seiner Sicht besser hätte umgesetzt werden können. Dabei hat er sich auf aktuelle und etwas ältere Silhouetten aus dem Hause Nike gestürzt und den den Epic React der kreativen Bulma gewidmet. Um Master Roshis Namen gerecht zu werden, erhält er einen eigens designten Roshe Run:

Doch besondere Liebe scheint der britische Sneakerhead für die legendäre Air Max-Reihe aus Oregon zu haben. Gleich neun Modelle hat er sich hier rausgepickt und sie dem für ihn passenden Charakter zugeordnet. Im Grunde ist da fast jedes Modell der Reihe vertreten. Vom Air Max 1, der 1987 erschien, bis zum 97er oder 98er Modell, die aktuell riesigen Hype erfahren. Für Son Goku hat er dabei den Air Max 1, also den Urvater der legendären Reihe, ausgesucht:

Zu den Designs wird es zwar vermutlich nie kommen, sie sind aber dennoch spannend und kreativ. Schließlich sind Nike und Adidas die beiden Global-Player auf dem Markt mit riesigen Fanbases.
