Wie hiphopdx.com berichtet, soll sich Curtis Young der Sohn von Dr. Dre, indirekt zu dem Deal zwischen Apple und Beats Electronics geäußert haben.

Curtis sagte, er sei stolz auf den Milliardär-Status seines Vaters. Außerdem sagte er:

"He took it to another level in Hip Hop,"

Weiter heißt es:

"I'm proud of him. A lot of people ain't gon' ever reach that. I don't know how it is to wake up and to be the first richest rapper in the business to reach a million dollars...a billion dollars, my bad, a billion dollars. You'll never see that." 

Dr. Dre hat auch selbst schon eine Art Bestätigung bezüglich des Deals abgegeben. In einem Video sagte er:

"The first billionaire in Hip Hop right here from the motherfucking West Cost." 

Jedoch verschwand das Video wieder ganz schnell aus dem Internet, weil es angeblich zu Problemen innerhalb der Verhandlungen geführt haben soll. 

Fakt ist jedoch, dass bis heute der Deal weder von Apple noch von Beats Electronics offiziell bestätigt worden ist.
