Im Interview mit 359hiphop.com äußerte sich DMX unter anderem negativ über die heutige Rap-Musik und bedauerte, dass viele Rapper nichts zu bieten hätten:

"The quality of rap fuc*in’ sucks right now. There are certain nice rappers, but for the most part, n*ggas suck. That’s what the fu*k it is, man. Take it how you want to fu*kin’ take it. Straight up. The camera man agrees with me. That’s what it is man, take it how you want to take it. Bring it. What?"

Außerdem sprach DMX kurz über einen Konflikt mit der Polizei und beklagte, dass ihm seine Bekanntheit immer wieder zum Verhängnis wird:

"The last few times I got locked up, I was locked up for hours at a time. “Driving without a license. Who the fu*k gets locked up for driving without a license? Me, because I’m famous. That’s all. Police s*ck di*k. That’s what the fu*k they do. They s*ck d*ck. It is what it is. I’m not a criminal. I’m not committing crimes and sh*t. I drive my fu*king car. I have a car. I drive it. Oh, you want to pull me over and lock me up? Do what you do, homie, but I’ll be right back out doing the same fu*kin’ thing I was doing eight hours ago. So fu*k you!"

Auch über Eminem sagte DMX ein paar kurze Worte:

"I don’t know what Eminem is. I know he’s a talented artist. We have a good relationship, but don’t ask me no random shit to start no random beef. Please. Don’t do that."
