Drake scheint nicht mehr an dem Aaliyah -Album, welches vergangenes Jahr angekündigt wurde, beteiligt zu sein. Er sagte jetzt , dass Timbaland und Missy Elliot eine andere Vision für das Album hatten und dass er ihnen viel Glück mit dem Album wünscht: " I don’t know. I think the press got out of hand and they maybe had a different vision for it or something. It was sounding great to me. Whatever they end up doing with it, I wish them the best of luck. " Das letzte Wort ist trotzdem noch nicht gesprochen.  Drake fügte hinzu, er sei trotz allem vielleicht auf einem Track vertreten:  " There might be a record on there with me and her, I’m not sure. It was great. It sounded really good. " Vergangenes Jahr hatte  Drake ein posthumes  Aaliyah -Album angekündigt, an dem er umfassend beteiligt sein soll.  Timbaland  und  Missy Elliott  – die beiden langjährigen  Aaliyah -Kollaboratoren –   zeigten schon damals ihre enttäuschende Reaktion auf die erste Single  Enough Said  und  stellten klar, dass sie nicht an  Drake s Projekt beteiligt seien .
