2014 BET Awards: Alle Gewinner der diesjährigen Veranstaltung

Gestern fanden die 2014 BET Awards statt. Alles fing an mit der Performance von Pharrell Williams, der Come Get It Bae live vorstellte und anschließend mit Missy Elliott Pass The Dutch rockte. Mit Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Jhene Aiko oder August Alsina performten auch andere Musiker live.

Unter anderem schlug August Alsina ScHoolboy Q und Mack Wilds in der Kategorie Best New Artist. Nicki Minaj wurde zum fünften Mal in Folge Best Female Hip Hop Artist und verwies unter anderem Iggy Azalea auf die Plätze:

"This is my fifth year winning this award”, sagte sie in ihrer Dankesrede. “I don’t take it for granted. I really don’t. I thank God that I’ve been placed in a position to do something and represent women in a culture that is so male driven."

Zusätzlich betonte Nicki, dass sie ihre Lieder selbst schreibe:

What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."
